This unique piece of angling history covers the years 1956 to 1962. The text is taken word for word from Eddie’s fishing diaries and includes most of the photographs he took during that period, including his famous ‘monster in the weeds’ picture.

Eddie wrote about his experiences from fishing the small reservoir on his land, various local waters, to probably the most famous carp water of them all - Redmire Pool.

He made no secret of the fact that he wanted to break the perch and carp records and writes of his greatest angling triumph - his 40lb 8oz mirror carp from Redmire Pool in September 1959. This was the second biggest carp ever caught at the time and went on to break the British Record when Chris Yates caught it in June 1980 at a weight of 51lb 8oz.

Eddie was just as happy catching wild carp a fraction of that weight and the book is a fascinating insight into how successful anglers of this era went about solving the problems they faced.
