Big Chub for Lincolnshire Angler

Barry Coombs of Sutton St Edmunds Lincolnshire a maintenance engineer travelled across to Berkshire where he planned to fish the River Kennet as a guest of John Seagure on the Wasing fishery. Conditions were excellent, low light levels high water temperature with a good flow on the river. Barry fishing a meatball on size 6 hook to 10lb line had one of those days to remember. His first fish in the morning session was a personal best barbel weighing 10-3-0. Around 3 o'clock Barry decided on a move and went off downstream to another swim know for its quality chub. Within minutes a good fish picked up his meatball, after a bit of give and take by angler and fish Barry netted a fine chub. On the scales it went 5-8-0 another personal best for this Lincolnshire angler (See pictures)
