Obituary Terry Mansbridge

It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that Terry Mansbridge, the Executive Chairman of National Association of Fishery and Anglers Consultative (NAFAC) passed away last night.

Terry has without doubt been a great servant to angling, and he will be greatly missed. I doubt if he can ever be replaced. During his time in the Metropolitan Police where he was a Detective Chief Superintendent, he still worked tirelessly for angling.

During his last murder inquiry before he retired from the police force, Terry found time to give me an interview in Hyde Park on a cold winter day, where he discussed his work with the river Lea consultative. Terry has given a huge amount to angling in recent years. It was through his leadership and his hard work, that has taken NAFAC to being the biggest single membership body within angling.

To honour Terry, let everyone join NAFAC.

He will be sorely missed by his friends and colleagues in angling. I am sure all anglers will join me in offering our condolences to his family and friends. Terry Rest in Peace.
