Winter Caught Bream and Carp

During a 7 day session at the Carp Societies Horseshoe Lake Kevin Hewitt from Frome Somerset a geography student caught 5 carp including three twenties best at 24Lb 6oz and a super winter caught bream of 14Lb 6oz. The conditions were tough from the start with temperatures down as low as –6 degrees, the lake freezing over one night. No other fish were caught during the week long session. In fact no other fish were caught in a 14 day period by any other angler. All Kevin's fish were caught at an estimated 90 yard range on 14mm UFO boilies from the Cotswold bait creations range. Fished over half a kilo of 14mm UFO’s, one kilo of hemp and half a pound of Cotswold bait creations frozen bloodworm per night. See picture
