Save our Frogs

I have just returned home after saving dozens of frogs from perhaps death. A stupid woman in Clitheroe had chosen to destroy a pond which is full of mating frogs, spawn and male frogs waiting for a female to turn up. How cruel and stupid can people get?

No doubt some newts will have also perished. Kate and me have rescued as many frogs as possible, then we moved these lovely creatures to other ponds. We then collected up as much spawn as possible, putting some into ponds and other into tubs.

Please take care where your out walking in the dark as frogs and toads are now moving overland to their spawning sites. You will often see them moving across roads so please try not to run them down.
