Angling News 23rd February

The very cold north easterly wind didn't stop Brian Barnard of Keighley from catching some excellent grayling from the river Wharfe. Brian fished a size 14 Pheasant Tail Nymph or Gold Ribbed Hare's Ear in the shallow gin clear water. By using a quiet approach he was able to catch over twenty good size grayling during his day at the waterside.

On the river Bain at Conningsby George Thompson using a roving approach and fishing with either legered crust or lobworms had a catch of seven chub all 4lb plus fish with his best two at 5-4-0 and 5-6-0
